Writing
Stories - My stories aren't very long nor are they very good. And really I'd almost call most of
them poetry before I'd call them stories, but this is where they're at for now. I'm under the
same opinion that Walt Whitman was that the work is never done, and something always needs to be changed.
Boardwalk - [2001] - This is just an interesting take on
the game of monopoly, what it means to both men and women, and why women will always win.
Beautiful Sleep - [1998] - I love this story, but
it is one that has never really moved past the first draft stage. Something that is very evident in the last paragraph where
I start nearly every sentence with a coordinating conjunction.
Maryland - [1999] - I like this one. This is more my style.
No capitalization, no proper punctuation, and more of a stream of conscience/run on poetry type of thing.
Sketches - [1999] - These were ideas to start stories from, but
I never did anything with them.
Poetry - Most of this is from high school because I don't really take the time to write poetry
anymore. I think it is a very noble and worthwhile endeavor, but I'm pretty busy with everything else.
However, if anyone wants to pay me to write poetry all day, let's get this literary party started.
So, these are pretty much the last batch I wrote. I'm not very big into a rhyming scheme, and my lines
got longer and longer and eventually all my poems were just like the stories above. In fact, most of
the sketches and maryland started out as poems. These are about the last ones that tend to rhyme so beware.
Poetry - [1997-1998] -
Essays and Rants - This is me. I'm a ranting lunatic most of the time, especially since I live
in a city with a bunch of morons who can't drive, have no morals, and can't see past the tip of their noses.
But really, I just like to rant.
